Here are examples of some of our landscaping work. As you can see, we take on a variety of landscaping and complete it to a high standard. Please call or contact us for a quote.
Over 400 tons of soil was removed from around this property to increase the area level with the house to allow for a potential extension . Retaining walls were built using bricks to match the house with a staffordshire blue dog tooth course and cresing tile added to create interest and detail to such a long wall
This fantastic koi pond was built from scratch on a reinforced concrete base using 9" concrete blocks laid flat for the walls and then faced with brick work to match the house . The internal walls were then rendered and finally fibreglassed . The pond was about 750mm above the ground with 750mm being in the ground to give an overall depth of 1.5 meters . The whole structure was 4 meters wide and 8 meters long which included the pump and filtration unit built in brick at the end of the pond
Following on from building a koi pond at the same property we were asked to lay a new sandstone patio with steps leading upto the rears doors , recessed man hole covers were used to disguise drain covers . Once finnished the stone was sealed with a ' wet look ' stone sealer , shrub beds were created around the house and planted up , as well as a portugese laurel hedge along one side and a couple of topiary beds to break up where the patio meets the lawn .
Revamp of a natural pond at a farm house in Little Hadham . Weeds were cleared around the pond and the banks were reshaped , old oak beams were placed around the top edge to make grass cutting easier . Some river birch and cornus midwinter fire were then planted round one end of the pond
A lovely cottage garden in the village of Preston, an old 145 square metre concrete slab patio was transformed by replacing it with reclaimed riven yorkstone with small pockets of flintstones, areas of pointing were left to allow natural flowers and grasses to grow.
We were asked too plant two rows of seven box headed trees into the lawn at a residence along the ridgeway in cuffley. The trees were delivered by hiab lorry and the recently laid lawn was covered with plywood sheets to prevent damage to the grass when moving the trees into position.
Part of this fence blew down , we repaired the fence utilising the the original materials and new posts
This garden was just mud until we arrived and laid the patio , turfed the garden and planted some trees
National gardens scheme garden and "I own Britains best home and garden" award winner.Stretcher bond brick paving layed around raised vegetable planters, and various pathways added.Areas of pointing were left to allow wild flowers, grasses and moss to grow.
At this garden we added a brick edged shrub bed and used bricks laid as basket weave and stretcher bond to construct a patio area and four planting areas that were edged with box plants to form clipped low hedges.A water feature consisting of a single jet of water was added in the centre of the planting area
